East End Chef’s Dinner

Hoie Hall at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church in East Hampton was transformed into a combined restaurant and comedy club last Wednesday evening, as Charlotte Sasso, owner of Stuart’s Seafood in Amagansett, gave a lively demonstration of how she prepared that night’s special meal.

The menu comprised hummus with roasted peppers, gravlax with dill and mustard dressing, baby kale salad, fresh (Stuart’s) hake with cherry tomatoes, olives, lemon, and roasted potatoes, with a grand finale of oatmeal cookies and brownies.

The event was part of Lillian Woudsma’s East End Chef’s Program monthly dinner series, which raises money for local scholarships.
