Martha Clara Vineyards
An opening reception will be held for artists-in-residence Maggie Carine and Jess Hoyt on Friday from 7 to 9 PM. The event will feature light fare and live music by Mike Duca. The vineyards’ Summer Rosé and Bubbly Fest is only four months away. The July 28 event will feature music, over 25 wineries, specialty foods, and light hors d’oeuvres. Until then, start shopping for your new best pink outfit, and practice dancing on the lawn whenever you can. There will be two sessions — 12 to 3 PM and 4 to 7 PM. Tickets will run $55 to $115. Sip some Spring Splendor with a paid tasting flight throughout April. Spring winery tours will also be held on Saturdays throughout the month from 1 to 3 PM. Go inside the barrel and tank rooms and view the production facility to find out how your favorite vino is made. Tickets are $20 per person ($15 wine club), which include a select tasting of five wines in the tasting room after the tour. Payment is required with reservation.
Jen Kane kicks off the vineyard’s live music series on Saturday from 1 to 5 PM.
The Pindar Wine Club’s Spring release party is April 21 from 2 to 4 PM inside the tasting room. This is a wine club members-only event, in which VIPs can taste a preview of the May Club wines and also meet the new winemaker, Erik Bilka. There will be complimentary noshes provided by Long Island Chowda Co. The company will also be serving an a la carte menu of lunch items for sale to club members, as well as all guests of Pindar Vineyards.
