Lieb Cellars is joining with the folks at the Ram’s Head Inn for a five-course wine-pairing dinner at 7 PM on Friday. The dinner will include a winemakers’ preview with butler-style hors d’oeuvres in the inn’s lounge area, followed by a choice of local oysters or baby arugula salad.

Looking ahead a few weeks, an art show reception will be held on May 17 from 6 to 9 PM. Meet professional artists such as Susie Gach Peelle, known for her prolific works in diverse themes, and view the work of Maxwell Makewell, whose abstraction and creative art’s universal language is known across the globe. Artwork from Aid to the Developmentally Disabled Inc. residents will also be shown.

Saturday is Palmer’s Spring Oyster Fest and Barbecue.
The Harvest Moon Shellfish Company will be roasting up plates of fresh local oysters, North Fork Bacon and Smokehouse will provide a beautiful plate of BBQ pork shoulder, and there will be wine, of course.
Tickets are $45 per person, $40 for wine club members. Ticket price includes a plate of both local oysters and a BBQ plate, plus a glass of wine.
Think pink and Rosé the day away at the vineyards’ Summer Rosé and Bubbly Fest on July 28. The event will feature music, over 25 wineries, specialty foods, and light hors d’ oeuvres. Until then, keep thinking pink and practice dancing on the lawn whenever you can. There will be two sessions — 12 to 3 PM and 4 to 7 PM. Tickets run $55 to $115. In April, enjoy a complimentary taste of Spring Splendor with a paid tasting flight. Spring winery tours will also be held on Saturdays throughout April and May from 1 to 3 PM.
