Linda Lavin’s Love Notes

Bay Street Theater presents “Linda Lavin: Love Notes “on Monday, July 15, at 8 PM as part of Bay Street Theater’s Music Mondays concert series.

“‘Love Notes’ is a delightful, sexy, and funny show of songs and stories told by Tony and Golden Globe winner Linda Lavin,” reads a Bay Street press release. With Billy Stritch at the piano, Lavin’s husband Steve Bakunas on drums and special guest, jazz violinist Aaron Weinstein, Lavin will perform favorites from the Great American Songbook, jazz standards, show tunes, Brazilian music, and the theme song from “Alice” the hit TV show Lavin starred in during the ’70s and ’80s.

The Broadway, TV, and film star has received numerous awards: a Tony, a Drama Desk, an Outer Critics, a Helen Hayes, and she was recently inducted into the Theater Hall of Fame. She is also six-time Tony nominee. Lavin was awarded two Golden Globes for her role as Alice Spivak Hyatt, from the film “Alice Doesn’t Live Here Anymore.”

Most recently Lavin starred on the CBS sitcom “9JKL,” appeared as Hank Azaria’s mother on the dark HBO comedy “Brockmire,” and costarred on the NBC series “Sean Saves The World.” She has also appeared in recent episodes of the Netflix hit, “The Santa Clarita Diet.”
