Matisyahu, the American-Jewish reggae singer and rapper, performed a free concert at Solé East to a packed crowd on Saturday, August 31. Kate Usher and the Sturdy Souls kept the growing audience entertained with her gravelly, sweet voice. By the time Matisyahu took the stage at 8 PM, the audience was shoulder-to-shoulder, dancing to some of his best-known hits that evoke positivity and world peace like “One Day” and “King Without A Crown.”
The Halsey McKay Gallery in East Hampton presents Hilary Pecis’s third solo show and Matthew Kirk’s first. Both exhibitions run through October 5. The gallery is now open Friday through Monday, 11 AM to 6 PM.
