Matisyahu, the American-Jewish reggae singer and rapper, performed a free concert at Solé East to a packed crowd on Saturday, August 31. Kate Usher and the Sturdy Souls kept the growing audience entertained with her gravelly, sweet voice. By the time Matisyahu took the stage at 8 PM, the audience was shoulder-to-shoulder, dancing to some of his best-known hits that evoke positivity and world peace like “One Day” and “King Without A Crown.”
The Latino Film Festival of the Hamptons will show a screening “Pachamama,” at Greenport High School on Sunday, November 17, at 2 PM. See www.olaofeasternlongisland.org for more information.
