The 2019 season officially began on Friday, May 24, as the Garden Club of East Hampton held its annual Garden Party and Plant Sale early buying opportunity at Mulford Farm. Curator Abby Jane Brody made sure there was a plant for every taste.

Westhampton Library Discussion:
The Westhampton Free Library will continue its Dessert and Discuss series with Dr. Agostino Cervone on the subject of hernias at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church on June
20 at 7 PM. Dr. Cervone of Peconic Bay Medical Center will talk about advancements in laparoscopic surgery, different types of hernias, their causes, and treatment and
prevention. The library will host a workshop for children in grades kindergarten through third on making bug figurines out of bottle caps on June 25 at 1:30 PM. The library has also invited children of all ages to take part in its summer reading program celebration on June 26 with an ice cream party at 2 PM, a meet and greet with Captain Jack Sparrow at 4 PM, and a Steel Impressions steel band concert at 6:30 PM.
