In a show of girl power, more than 100 young ladies participated in the i-tri Mentoring Day at the East Hampton Middle School on Saturday. Enthusiasm was high as the girls participated in mentoring sessions with women well established in their business fields. The event was sponsored by i-tri, which is an eastern Long Island community based program with a mission to encourage young girls to become more self-confident, live healthy life styles, have positive body images and self-respect, and feel personally empowered.
For the month of October the Rogers Mansion will be taken over by the spooky spirits of Halloween. Come explore our exhibits and learn about Southampton’s past, but be on the lookout for ghouls and ghosts of previous occupants. Was that a creaky old floorboard or the footsteps of Captain Albert Rogers getting ready to leave on a whaling trip? You will have to stop in to find out!
