On Saturday, December 1, Wölffer Estate & Vineyard in Sagaponack held its annual Lighting of the Vines. Holiday wreaths uniquely crafteded by local artists, designers, and business owners were auctioned off to benefit Fighting Chance, which offers free cancer counseling. The night included holiday jazz music, mulled wine, an appearance by Mr. and Mrs. Claus and, of course, the magical lighting of 15,000 LED lights blanketing the vines.
On Saturday, August 24 and Sunday, August 25, on the front lawn of the Hampton Bays Historical Society, the Town of Southampton is sponsoring the “Summertime Art and Antiques Fair.” Peruse the vendors and then stop in at the Lyzon Hat Shop Museum to view this season’s exhibits: “New York World’s Fairs Memorabilia from 1939 and 1963”, and “Feathered Hats” created by milliner, Walter King. The HB Historical Society is located at 116 West Montauk Highway in Hampton Bays.
