A History of the East Hampton Women Who Served during World War 1

When: 06/30/2018, 1:00 pm - 3:30 pm

Local historian Hilary Osborn Malecki will present “A History of the East Hampton Women Who Served during World War 1” on Saturday, June 30 at 1:00 p.m. at the East Hampton Historical Farm Museum, 131 North Main Street @ Cedar Street, 631-324-3874.
Hilary will share the stories of the ordinary women of East Hampton who volunteered to serve their country during extraordinary times.  See vintage photos and learn about the young women who left their hometown to work in battlefield hospitals, guide thousands of homeless refugees, and assist war torn soldiers in France during World War I.
Following Hilary’s presentation, everyone is invited to tour the Lester Farmhouse and to see our new exhibit that commemorates the 100-year anniversary of the end of World War 1 and honors local soldiers, “World War 1 in East Hampton.”
