The Bartender Throw Down at George’s Lighthouse Café kicks off on Monday, August 20, at 4 PM. Montauk’s Inaugural Bartending Competition is only open to Montauk bars and restaurants but anyone is welcome to come and root on their favorite bartenders while enjoying the beautiful scenery of Montauk Point. There will be five unique bartending events judged by well-known Montauk locals, and points and prizes will be awarded to competitors with the best showings.

Fitness at the Hampton Bays Library continues with “Yoga for Everyone” from 5:30 to 6:30 PM. Participants will stretch and tone with certified yoga instructor Andrew for fun and light Hatha and Kripalu-inspired classes and poses. The East Hampton Library is welcoming Sid Field, Technical Director for LTV, the public access studio on Industrial Road in Wainscott, as he gives beginners course in how to get your local program on LTV. Due to advancements in technology, one can create a show by using something as simple as their cell phone, no high tech devices are needed.
