The Long Island Fleece and Fiber Fair is the first of its kind in the area to celebrate fiber arts activities and comes to Hallockville Museum Farm on May 19 and 20 from 10 AM to 4 PM. Visitors will see and learn how local artisans craft wool and other animal fiber into finished pieces of clothing and art. The fair will feature numerous of demonstrations and offer hand-on learning for the whole family to enjoy. Local craft and food vendors will also be selling handmade supplies and products in the Naugles Barn Fiber Market. Activities include animal displays, basket weaving, sheep herding, llama shearing, spinning, dyeing, quilting and weaving. Hallockville is located at 6038 Sound Avenue in Riverhead.
