Opossums And Raccoons

When: 08/11/2019, 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm

As part of the Friends of the Long Pond Greenbelt “Sundays at Two” series, Dell Cullum will talk on encounters with opossums and raccoons at the Long Pond Greenbelt Nature Center on Sunday, August 11, at 2 PM.

Cullum is the owner of Hampton Wildlife Removal & Rescue in East Hampton, a humane, no-kill trapping service. In his talk, he’ll discuss opossums and raccoons, which are the East End’s most common nocturnal critters, what makes them unique, the benefits they offer the environment, and how to live with the animals whose habitats are shrinking. Free and open to the public. Refreshments will be served.

Friends of the Long Pond Greenbelt will also have its monthly meeting on Monday, August 12, at 6 PM. All are welcome. For more information, visit www.longpondgreenbelt.com.
