When: 04/08/2019, 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm
The Rogers Memorial Library and the Southampton History Museum will offer a talk, “The Tet Offensive: Lessons from the Vietnam War,” on Monday, April 8, at 5:30 p.m. at the library. Last year marked the 50th anniversary of the Tet Offensive, a coordinated series of North Vietnamese attacks on more than 100 cities and outposts in South Vietnam.
Tet, with its heavy casualties and shocking news coverage, played a vital part in weakening U.S. public support for the war. Historian Martin H. Levinson, Ph.D., will lead a discussion about this military operation and discuss the impact the war in Vietnam had on our nation.
A question-and-answer session will follow. Register at www.myrml.org or call 631-283-0774, ext. 523.
