The South Fork Natural History Museum presents “Why Does Soil Get Treated Like Dirt? A Perfect Earth Project Workshop” for children ages 5 to 12 at 10:30 AM. Take a look in the Perfect Earth Project microscope and peek into the world beneath our feet. After learning about these insects, and how they protect grass and plants, kids will make Soil Food Bombs with compost and some special beneficial little bugs. Perfect Earth Project, based in East Hampton, promotes PRFCT (toxic-free) lawns and landscapes for the health of people, their pets, and the planet; raises consciousness about the dangers of synthetic landscape chemicals and educates homeowners, landscapers, and businesses in nature-based alternatives that achieve beautiful results at no extra cost.
Advance reservations are required for all events. For more information, reservations, and directions to meeting places, call 631-537-9735.
