When: 01/26/2019, 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm
The Price of Everything will be screened at Guild Hall on Saturday, January 26th at 6pm. Directed by Nathaniel Kahn (My Architect) for HBO, the film takes a clear-eyed look at the art market now, and asks important questions about art, our society, and value, and our future. The Price of Everything debuted in theaters last fall and on HBO. This screening will feature a very special talk-back with director Nathaniel Kahn, artist John Alexander, and producer Carla Solomon following the screening.
With unprecedented access to pivotal artists and the white-hot market surrounding them, The Price of Everything dives deep into the contemporary art world, holding a mirror up to our values and our times — where everything can be bought and sold. Controversial, revealing, and poignant, it delves into territory that reflects our society in complex ways. Tickets for the screening of The Price of Everything are $10 in advance (www.sagharborcinema.org) or $15 at the door.
