The South Fork Natural History Museum (SOFO) will offer “Looking for Nano Structures in Nature and Do Some Nano Science,” a nanoscience program on June 2 at 10:30 AM for children ages five and older.The program, led by Melanie Meade of SOFO, will introduce nanoscience to participants. Children will observe natural occurrences, like the iridescence of peacock feathers and butterfly wings, and compare them to the biomimicry of some inventions like credit cards, e-screens, and sunscreen. There is a $5 materials fee for those participating in the activity. The program is free for SOFO members. For non-members, there is an additional fee of $15 per adult (12 years and up) and $10 per child ages 3-12. Visit www.sofo.org for information.
