When: 08/12/2018, 10:30 am
The South Fork Natural History Museum hosts a “Virtual Shark Dissection” for adults and children 8 and up at 10:30 AM. If you love sharks, this workshop with Melanie, a SoFo Nature Educator, is for you. You’ll virtually dissect a small dogfish shark, and learn to identify its characteristic body parts to better understand how it is related to other sharks and how it swims, eats, and respires (breathes). Melanie will discuss external shark anatomy as well as the internal structures that make sharks unique among fishes.
Advance reservations are required for all events. For more information, reservations, and directions to meeting places, call 631-537-9735.
