Katy’s Courage 5K:

Katy’s Courage is hosting the eighth annual Katy’s Courage 5K on Saturday, April 21. Proceeds from this year’s event will be donated to local scholarships, as well as Katy’s Kids @ CMEE.

Participants may register online in advance at http://bit.ly/2F4Hjsp.

On race day, registration and check-in will take place from 7 to 8:15 AM and the run will begin promptly at 8:30 AM. Runners will start at 21 West Water Street in Sag Harbor.

Katy’s Courage is an organization honoring Katy Stewart, an inspirational 12-year-old girl who died from a rare form of pediatric liver cancer. The organization is dedicated to supporting education, children’s bereavement counseling, and pediatric cancer research.

Southampton Arts Center presents the summit Earth Days 2018, from 9 AM through 6:45 PM. Renowned environmentalist Paul Hawken will discuss his comprehensive plan to reverse global warming, which will be followed by a call-to-action presentation and panel with local and national experts. Pints & Pups:

The East Hampton Lions Club is hosting a “Pints & Pups” fundraising event from noon to 2 PM at the American Legion in Amagansett. The event supports the Guide Dog Foundation and The Animal Rescue Fund of the Hamptons. All dog owners are encouraged to register their dogs in advance to compete in one of six categories: Most Unique Breed, Most Unique Feature, Floppiest Ears, Best Trick, Best Dressed, and Dog/Owner Look-a-Like. There is a $30 registration fee per pup. First, second, and third place prizes will be awarded in each category, as well as a Best in Show. All community members are invited to enjoy a fun afternoon with live music, face painting, food and ice cream trucks, and a cash bar.

Seen and Unseen:

The William Ris Gallery in Jamesport presents “Seen and Unseen,” paintings and drawings by Scott McIntire. The solo exhibit features 40 paintings and drawings that explore the interconnection of art, nature, and science. An artist talk will be held from 2 to 4 PM.

EarthHamptons:

EarthHamptons presents an Earth Day celebration of art and design at Ashawagh Hall in Springs this weekend. An opening reception will be held on Saturday from 5 to 8 PM.

Lifeguard Association:

Hampton Lifeguard Association will host a summer kick-off benefit party from 7 to 11 PM at Westlake Fish House in Montauk. The benefit will feature music by 3Bs Band, a cash bar, food, and silent and Chinese auctions with tons of items, from spectacular travel destinations and gift baskets to restaurant gift certificates and spa treatments. Tickets are $35 per person or $50 a couple. Tickets can be purchased at the door or by contacting Hampton Lifeguard Association committee member Amy Forst at amy@forstconstruction.com. All proceeds go to support the HLA.

Spring Fling:

The Parrish Art Museum’s annual Spring Fling community celebration, fundraiser, and networking event will take place from 7:30 to 11 PM at the Water Mill museum. Spring Fling, which features dancing to live music by the band NOIZ, a silent auction, photo booth, and open bar and hors d’oeuvres catered by Elegant Affairs, helps support the Parrish’s year-round educational programs.
