Almost 75 people turned out to help clean up Riverhead on October 19. Deborah Wetzel, chair of the Anti-Litter Committee, said, “The goal of today’s cleanup is to encourage people to stop throwing trash out their car windows. Instead keep a trash bag in your car and throw it out when you get home or dispose of it when you get your gas. Let’s keep our planet green and clean!” Students from Riverhead High School and Boy Scout Troop 94 showed up to assist.
