The Westhampton Beach Historical Society will host a reenactment of the Revolutionary War military engagement on the Great Lawn of Westhampton Beach’s Main Street on Saturday, August 10, and Sunday, August 11, from 10 AM to 4 PM.

Reenactors will demonstrate American and British camp life, infantry, cavalry drills, and artillery demonstrations. Between demonstrations, drills, and during lunch, the camps will be open for the public to view and experience what life was like for soldiers and their families during the Revolutionary War. Educational discussions and demonstrations will occur throughout the day, including field and camp music, field cooking, 18th-Century material culture, apothecary medicines, and leather and silver crafts.

The schedule includes in-camp living history interpretation from 10 to 11 AM, infantry and cavalry drills as well as artillery demonstrations and firing on the hour from 11 AM to 12 PM, lunch from 12 to 1 PM, and more drills and demonstrations until 4 PM.
