Indian Wells Sale

Indian Wells Sale

This Indian Wells Highway residence didn’t last long.

A gorgeous seven-bedroom on one of our favorite roads, Indian Wells Highway in Amagansett, didn’t last very long on the market.

Corcoran sold the gem, at number 90, which is south of Further Lane, for $10.46 million, nearly the asking price of $10.5 million.

According to the information of the deed transfer, a couple of layered-up LLCs handled the little details: Martini, B Trust sold to 90 Indian Wells LLC.

The formidable house with 12.5 baths (is that enough?) sits on 2.33 acres, plenty of privacy but not enough to block the luscious ocean breezes. There’s also an oversized pool house that doubles as a guest suite.

Noted Architect’s Home For Sale In SH

Alexander Cooper’s Hill Street house recently changed hands.

The $2.995 million home of Alexander Cooper is now for sale. The world-renowned architect, who designed and planned Battery Park City, the Times Square Theater District, and Hudson Yards in Manhattan, has put his Southampton hideaway on the market.

Located at 659 Hill Street in Southampton Village, the intimate property, represented by Priscilla Garston of Douglas Elliman, is a circa-1920s stunner that has been lovingly updated to today’s highest standards. The 2000-square-foot home features three bedrooms and two-and-a-half baths, several fireplaces, a chef’s kitchen, and plenty of period details. The .37-acre grounds are beautifully landscaped with specimen trees, and also come with privacy hedging and outdoor gathering areas. There is room for a pool.

Cooper “might be the most influential architect in New York right now. Surely, no architect is having as much impact, not only on the design of individual buildings, but on the shape of wide swaths of the city,” said Paul Goldberger, The New York Times.

Other notable projects include the expansion of the Museum of Modern Art and Zuccotti Park, also in Manhattan.
